The challenge
BAUHAUS wanted to strengthen its digital and technology organisation in Mannheim.
Like many major German companies, BAUHAUS faced a shortage of experienced technology professionals in the domestic market and therefore decided to recruit internationally.
The challenge was substantially more complex than conventional recruitment. Once an engineer accepted an offer, the process continued through immigration, work authorisation, visa procedures and international relocation.
The risk window
Longer timelines created an additional risk: maintaining candidate motivation from offer acceptance until arrival in Germany.
Between acceptance and Mannheim, immigration steps, visas and relocation can stretch for weeks. Without active engagement, strong candidates drift — or take another offer closer to home.
Our approach
Gini Talent managed the international recruitment process end to end.
Our recruiters worked directly within BAUHAUS’s Applicant Tracking System and remained closely connected with hiring managers throughout the engagement.
A major focus was maintaining a smooth candidate journey between offer acceptance and the candidate’s eventual arrival in Mannheim.
What we managed
- International sourcing
- Candidate screening
- ATS management
- Interview coordination
- Hiring-manager communication
- Candidate engagement
- Visa-process support
- Relocation coordination
The corridor
International engineering talent had to land in one destination — Mannheim — without the process fracturing into separate agency, immigration and relocation silos.
Source internationally
Map and approach engineering talent across multiple countries where BAUHAUS could not fill roles domestically.
Run inside the ATS
Screen, schedule and communicate as an embedded team — not an external CV drop.
Protect the offer-to-arrival gap
Stay with candidates through visa and relocation so momentum does not die after acceptance.
Arrive in Mannheim
Engineers join the digital and technology organisation ready to contribute — not stuck in paperwork limbo.
40+ engineers from approximately 10 countries — recruited and relocated into one Mannheim technology organisation.
